Fiona is one of the leading experts on country positioning strategy. She has given counsel to numerous countries and regions around the world helping to focus their efforts and sharpen their offer. These include Bahrain, Britain, the Dominican Republic, Dubai, England, Hong Kong, the Isle of Man, Israel, Lebanon, Mauritius, Northern Ireland, Rwanda, Wales and Zambia. Fiona has also developed positioning strategies for country flagship brands. These include Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE, and Israel’s Alternative Fuels Initiative. Most recently, Fiona developed and ran the Vote No Borders campaign - a campaign for a No vote in the Scottish Referendum. She is a graduate from Cambridge University with an MA in French and Russian and also speaks Italian. Fiona is an author, public speaker and a Non-Executive Director of Camfed.
Martin is a marketing and communications strategist and writer with over thirty years experience of working both in client and agency companies. He was a founding partner of Bartle Bogle Hegarty, generally recognised as one of the foremost creative advertising agencies in the world, and was also CEO of the UK office of Grey Worldwide, one of the world's largest agencies. Since then he has worked as a consultant, helping companies and brands develop their market positioning, as well as working with Acanchi on several unique projects. Martin has an MA in Economics from Cambridge University. There, he was also Secretary of Footlights and teamed up with Douglas Adams and Will Adams. He wrote for Radio 4's Weekending, contributed to such shows as The Two Ronnies and Monty Python.
Rebecca is a researcher and brand planner at Acanchi. She began her career in strategic brand development in 1998 at Springpoint, initially as project manager and then as brand planner, where she worked on a diverse array of projects including Unilever, Vodafone, Nationwide and United Biscuits. Since being at Acanchi, Rebecca has worked on projects for China, Zambia, Lebanon, Isle of Man, Dominican Republic and Bahrain, Israel and their Alternative Fuels Initiative. Over the years, Rebecca has developed an in-depth understanding of country brand strategy and has built up strong skills in country brand auditing. Rebecca has an Honours degree in Psychology from Sussex University, an MA in Philosophy of Mind from Sussex University and a certificate from The Communication, Advertising and Marketing Education Foundation.
Nick is a producer and project manager at Acanchi. Nick was responsible for producing all the content for the Vote No Borders campaign including cinema adverts, the campaign song 'Why build another Wall?' music video, a series of 31 'People's Voices' interviews, press advertising, digital and mobile billboard advertising and all creative output on the campaign website and social media channels. Nick has also worked on projects for Israel and the National Youth Theatre whilst at Acanchi and has developed an in depth understanding of brand strategy and production. In his spare time, Nick enjoys making short films, windsurfing and sailing. Nick has a LLB (with honours) Law degree from Exeter University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
